What are your themes?
Your story will touch upon one or several themes.
You must know which themes. When you choose to develop one situation rather than another, decide which is most related to the themes you want to focus on.
Exercise 3 What are the themes in your film?
Use free-thought association to select the themes you want to concentrate on. Simply define what your story is about.
HELP Your hero’s story refers to a particular aspect of life that you must identify; this is your theme.
One idea leads to another, so consider all options to begin with.
Maybe you haven’t yet chosen the one theme at the heart of your work. If so, keep collecting information in order to have a more precise idea of the themes you want your subject to explore.
