Story Outline
To tell a story is to give an account of the adventure of a character who, in trying to achieve an aim, is faced with obstacles he/she will or won’t manage to overcome.
Your first task, as a screenwriter, is to define the story you want to tell. This methodology HELPs you ask the right questions.
Then, you will think about the account you want to give of your story. Remember that various accounts can be given of one story.
Remember this: each part of your film is constructed in the same way as the film itself; each scene taken separately has a character (often the hero) whose final aim leads him/her to face an obstacle, which creates conflict in the scene.
