Epilogue
Certain stories have an epilogue, i.e. a later consequence or sequel that occurs well after the events in the account. This development brings a full stop to the story while giving it new scope.
EXERCISE 33 Imagine the ultimate consequences of your story. They can happen weeks or even years after the end of your account. Maybe even after the characters have died. Or, who knows, centuries later. At that moment, you can say “the end”.
HELP Ellipse is often used to introduce the epilogue. Generally it is in the form of an on-screen message, for instance “One year later…”
