The Principle of Characterization

To characterize someone onscreen, don’t launch into a long and complicated description of his/her personality. Characterizing is to give each person a style: how do they dress, what is their attitude towards their environment? Make their behavior reveal their personality. Also choose how each character talks. Don’t forget you are writing for picture and sound!
